Vogue Beach Club North Cyprus

A few miles east of Kyrenia on the way to Alagadi Beach and just after the Acapulco hotel complex is the fantastic and long awaited Vogue Beach Club; the first of its kind on the east of the island of North Cyprus and a definite hot destination for holiday makers and local residents alike.

Vogue has been a long time in the planning and a fair while in the construction but the wait has been well worth it, with those of us who drove by regularly trying to sneak a peak hugely happy with what has been created!

Offering an oasis of sophisticated and relaxed luxury the beach club is only really half completed for the 2005 season! There is SO much more to come and yet what’s already in place outstrips anything else for miles around.

As you travel up the long sweeping driveway you can see all the palm trees waiting to be planted and the workers busily working hard on the gardens and accommodation wings that are to be added ready for next year’s season. The car parks are large, well laid out and beautifully lit up, ready for the night time beach parties and discos that will begin later in the season.

The beach club has a large pool and a massive Jacuzzi situated up high to give the best views down across the rest of the complex, the beach and the ocean. All around there are comfortable sun loungers and umbrellas and you just pick your spot and make yourself at home.

The beach itself is an immaculate strip fringed with more umbrellas, beds and spots for relaxing. If you prefer to sit away from the activity and relax with a book, a long cool drink and the sun on your back you can rest in the gardens or along the promenade. There is full waiter service constantly at your beck and call and the prices are very reasonable considering the wealth of luxury you’re basking in!

The waiters are immaculately turned out, unfailingly polite and helpful. They’ll happily chat with you, find out all about where you’re from and practice their English while you can try out your Turkish! They vigilantly watch over any small children running about and keep an eye on all your personal possessions while you go for a dip or a shower.

Vogue Beach Club is situated around a wide cove and the bay in which you can swim, snorkel and float about is sheltered from the open sea by stunning cliffs on the right and a man made promenade on the left. The sea is calm, clean and inviting. Take a swim out to the dive platform, snorkel around the rocky outcrops or go out with the resident dive team for a trial dive, a night time dip or a few hours fun.

As you bask in the bay and look back at the beach club you see the stunning Kyrenia mountain range behind framing the sympathetically designed and beautifully landscaped club. There is no sign of the main road, there is no noise from constructors, there is no smell from the power station and no disturbances to spoil your day. Vogue Beach Club is perfectly located to make the most of the best of Northern Cyprus.

Once you’ve swum, sunbathed and relaxed to your heart’s content consider dining at the Vogue Beach Club restaurant. The menu incorporates everyone’s tastes - there’s a kids menu, a vegetarian selection, salads, sandwiches, kebabs and pizzas and all the food is homemade on the premises, served with a smile, delicious, filling and again, surprisingly good value.
