So many About North Cyprus readers have been contacting us this year asking about good value car hire in North Cyprus and reliable rental car companies that we embarked upon some serious research on behalf of all of you out there!

We’ve tried out cars and jeeps, motorbikes and even a minibus and finally we’ve come up with your comprehensive guide to Northern Cyprus car hire and secured you some good deals at the same time!

First things first it’s true, there are about a hundred and one car hire companies in Northern Cyprus and it is very difficult to choose the best. You have to look at a number of criteria from the safety and reliability of the cars to the punctuality and professionalism of the company and staff - and then of course there’s always the ‘competitive price’ bit!

For the past two weeks we’ve enrolled family and friends and we’ve tried out a number of the better known car hire companies and assessed the companies on a series of criteria.

We are NOT going to list the names of the companies we rejected because we are not in the business of damaging other people’s businesses! Suffice to say none of the companies we tried let us down in any way but one company stood out from the crowd and far surpassed our criteria on every level.

And they weren’t on time - they were EARLY - unheard of in North Cyprus! We went on to hire two different cars from them at different times and were quite awkward customers in terms of drop off and pick up times!
